GPU is important for OpenGl and VRay is incorporating it more and more for rendering. Get one 500gb SSd and a 4TB secondary HDD for storage. Crucial M500's are cheap and one of the best rated SSD's on the market currently. I'd say at least 16gb, 32 will set you for a long time. Start with as much RAM as you can afford. Ive have air cooling and can OC it to 4.4 without any issues. I like having the fastest threads possible so I like my 17-4770k from last year. Some suggest an 8 core helps because of multi threading renders 8 at once, although each frame is slower. 4 slots for RAM(up to 64 gigs), 2 PCIe slots in case you want to eventually SLi some gpu's to extend your comp life, and the best cpu you can afford. Get a good motherboard that will allow expansion.
